Teachers at the local school adjacent to Towne Square at Suitland Federal Center have already purchased homes there, shining a light on CJR/CJRD’s commitment to changing lives for the better. First ever public-private development partnership for Prince George’s County Redevelopment Authority. CJR/CJRD was selected to redevelop nearly 30 acres (12 city blocks) which, though vital as a commercial and transit hub, was in long need of attention. With CJR/CJRD’s leadership, Towne Square is being created with the first-ever Public Private Partnership for the RDA and is the largest project ever undertaken by RDA. Sustainable and Forward-thinking. Towne Square is the first direct Fiber- To-The Premises (FTTP) and 5G-ready neighborhoods in the state of Maryland. It is one of the first in North America to be identified as a sustainable and resilient SITES Gold development and planned LEED ND Gold certified green neighborhood. All buildings will be a minimum of LEED Silver, and the townhomes are currently the first LEED GOLD Certified homes in the County.
